-- documenting thoughts & feelings on albums / songs i've been listening to recently. exploring an artists entire discography, exploring new genres and revisiting old favourites.. all that good stuff.

godspeed you! black emperor

(note to self: maybe these [discography reviews] should be seperate pages instead of indents? it's getting a little difficult to read and is messing up the formatting. Ugh, whatever, i'll finish this page tomorrow morning. Or, tonight? it's morning already. It's 8am already!!! i forgot to sleep ! oh no... ha) I told my friend anon i was listening to the album yanqui u.x.o (which has cemented itself as one of the greats) and that it was my first gy!be album, and they sent me this flow chart, which i want to go through. (open image in new tab to zoom in.)

This flowchart, written by somebody on reddit, says to start with Slow Riot for New Zerø Kanada and decide where to go from there based on if you like Moya or Blaise Bailey Finnegan III more. Personally, I'm more of a bbfIII fan more. I like the sample! Fuck america! hell yeah! The album (EP? I don't know.) is pretty short, around 30 minutes, i understand why it can be considered a good "introductory" piece.
